What happens during an assessment?

Start with observable evidence, then add context only where it improves confidence.

01Free

Website first

We check public pages, notices, consent experiences, cookies and trackers in an isolated browser that accepts nothing.

02Unlocked

Screenshots

Pages the scan relies on are captured, so each finding can be shown as the browser saw it.

03Unlocked

Questions next

You answer only what the website cannot reliably tell us. “I don’t know” is recorded as missing evidence, not a failure.

04Unlocked

Agreements

Upload processor or vendor agreements as PDF or Word files. Each is checked for twelve DPDP clauses, with the page or paragraph cited.

05Unlocked · optional

Private code

The local scanner runs on your computer and uploads a closed JSON report — never source code, filenames or matched values.

06Unlocked · optional

Your evidence

Attach policies, registers or screenshots to the control they support. Files are malware-scanned before they are read.

07Unlocked

Combined report

Freeze two or more reports into one combined view and download it as PDF, Excel or JSON.

08Unlocked

Ask about it

The AI assistant answers from your own reports and cites them. Hand a question to a Complimate lawyer for a live chat.

Good to know

  • The website scan is free. The full assessment — every control, codebase and agreement scans, the questionnaire and evidence — comes with a paid plan; see Pricing on the homepage.
  • Every source is optional after the scan. Anything you skip is shown as not assessed, never as a failure.
  • A lawyer only sees a conversation, and the report context you choose, after you ask for one and agree to share it.
  • You can delete your account from Account settings. Its assessments, uploaded files, screenshots, agreements and chats are removed with it.
  • Results show what the evidence supports. They are not a certificate of compliance or legal advice.
